Fire Rated Plasterboard

Fire rated plasterboard is a fire and acoustic plasterboard with a fibre reinforced core for use in fire rated walling and ceiling applications. Typically used in commercial applications, it not only offers fire resistance, but also great acoustic performance.

Available in 13mm and 16mm thicknesses, fire rated plasterboard has a pink paper on the heavy duty face for easy identification. Fire rated plasterboard is manufactured in Australia in accordance to AS2588 and is available in a range of standard lengths between 2400mm and 3600mm. Both edges recessed giving the flushing compound has an area to fill when sheets are butted together. Once installed and flushed, 13mm plasterboard provides a blemish free surface which is ready for paint.
